Long Term Care

  • Note:  If you are planning a chemical peel, laser treatment, MRI or other medical procedure, please inform your physician of your cosmetic tattoo.
  • Retin –A and Glycolic Acids can thin the epidermis and thus make it easier for the sun to fade your tattoo.
  • Certain lasers have been reported to turn pigment black.  Make sure your physician is aware of your natural looking tattoo to avoid potential darkening of any pigmentation.

Remember

  • Please use caution when allowing someone to wax your brows. Advise them to stay clear of the brow hair inside the design of your permanent makeup.
  • The treated area(s) will appear very exact, dark, intense, bright and more sharply defined immediately after the procedure. It may appear to be too dark on your initial saturation visit.  However, when the healing progresses the colors will soften and blend.
  • It is very common to have some areas fade more than others. This is part of the healing process and will be treated at the recommended touch-up appointment. The touch-up appointment will refine and perfect the treated area(s) that may have faded. The touch-up appointment can be made four - six weeks following the initial procedure. There is no charge for this visit if done within 90 days of the initial procedure.
  • Clients 60 years or older can take longer to heal. Waiting an extra one -two weeks before any retouches is advisable for those clients. This extra week will allow extra time to heal.
  • Previously botched permanent makeup done by an outside facility may take 1-3 treatments to achieve the desired result.
  • Some residual swelling is normal for ALL procedures. Some clients may have no swelling, while some may have a lot. You can apply ice to the treated area if necessary.
  • Dry skin, itching and tenderness are common after the procedure. These symptoms will dissipate each day and vary on an individual basis.
  • Healing is specific to each client. It is important to realize that you will need a color boost every 1-3 years to maintain a fresh natural appearance.
  • Proper care following your procedure is necessary to achieve the best results.
